NATA Accreditation

The National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) is a signatory to the globally recognised International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Agreement (ILAC MRA).

Brassets Group NATA Accreditation includes clinical accreditations that apply to Drug & Alcohol testing to standardise and enforce procedures for specimen collection and the quantification of substances.

AS/NZS 4308:2008

Procedures for specimen collection and the detection and quantitation of drugs in urine

AS/NZS 4308:2008 standardises procedures for specimen collection and the detection and quantitation of drugs of abuse in urine.

This includes guidelines for specimen collection, packaging and transportation to an accredited laboratory where the sample is tested for the detection of drugs.

The standard contains testing guidelines for the following drugs:

  • Amphetamine type substances
  • THC/Cannabis
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Cocaine
  • Opiates

AS/NZS 4760:2019

Procedures for specimen collection and the detection and quantitation of drugs in oral fluid

AS/NZS 4760:2019 standardises procedures for specimen collection and the detection and quantification of drugs in oral fluid.

This includes guidelines for specimen collection, packaging and transportation to an accredited laboratory where the sample is tested for detection of drugs.

The standard contains testing guidelines for the following drugs:

ISO 27001:2013 provides requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system. The information security management system preserves the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information by applying a risk management process and gives confidence to interested parties that risks are adequately managed.
